MAULED!

Released in the summer of 2003, Mauled! was the first publishing joint for Brian Musikoff's Manual Comics. Mauled! is just what it sounds like; all-true tales of people's misadventures with animals at zoos. The stories were culled from insurance agency records and new clippings and handed out to the contributors to interpret any way they saw fit.

Mauled! came about late in 2002. B-no had a great idea for an anthology, but didn't know enough folks to pull it off. Cheese on the other hand, had a group of cartoonists with no specific project. One day they were walking down the street and bumped into each other, spilling thier dilemas onto the sidewalk. As they collected them they noticed that their problems had gotten mixed together. Cheese blurted, "You got your anthology idea in my artist group!" and Brian shouted, "And you got your artist group in my anthology!" And the rest is history!

While this first issue was a published jointly between Ho12 and Manual Comics, Brian went on to publish several more Mauled! books as well as he much lauded An Axe Fell mini. Check them all out at www.manualcomics.com.
